PSYCHOLOGICAL PECULIARITIES OF THE DEVELOPMENT
OF SENIOR PUPILS` PERSONALITY COMPETENCE
In the article, the concept of "personal competence" is defined as an integral personality characteristic of a person based on her awareness, her own resources, personal values and social needs. Structurally, it contains three main components: 1) motivational-value; 2) cognitive; 3) emotional-volitional, which include a number of competencies, features and conditions of development in senior pupils, have been researched by the authors.The research program provided for the use of a comparative-cutting strategy, the development of an operational model (criteria, indicators and relevant research methods), the conduct of a molding experiment. The total number of participants (students 9 - 11 classes) - 306, the molding stage -38. Most senior students have a mediocre level of personal competence development (2-nd out of 4). Low emotional stability and creative activity, lack of knowledge and skills of personal self-improvement of students need focused work on the development of personal competence in high school students in the educational process. Proven author's program of psychological and pedagogical support contributes to the development of personal competence of such leading formations of cognitive and emotional-volitional spheres of senior pupils as self-awareness, self-esteem, perseverance, autonomy and autonomy. Theoretically (comparative analysis), experimentally and statistically substantiated the idea that the formation of personal competence is a prerequisite that contributes to the formation of the personal maturity of senior pupils.
